Her Kiss (Dec 2011)

By Damien Knight

I need a different touch
This longing I can’t ignore
I need it ever so much
From the lady I adore
But I dare not ask
Even if I braved this
It would fall upon deaf ears
I’ll never have her kiss

Kagome

By Damien Knight

How I yearned for her
The fires burned
Her soul yet she longed
To see me once more
I a worthless man
Immortal bound
Held her in my dreams
As the one I adore
Long we slept
Lady Kikyo and I
She reborn twice
What do we wait for?
Her soul torn in two
Where do I go
How do I choose
Her life now lore
Reborn you were
To meet me
Here we are Kagome
Standing tomorrow’s shore

Are You Afraid (Nov 16 2012)

By Damien Knight

I oft wonder am I avoided for fear
Is it strange I love so long
Does my passion scare you my dear
Is it you can’t accept your love for me
That’s why you kept pushing away
The past kept haunting me darling
I longed for you to say you’d stay
If I say more princess I’ll feel regret
I’ll regret the words I am made to speak
Asking why I’ll be made to eat my words
I can’t help my heart it feels so weak
So my lady I say I love you and let it be

Bound So Tight

By Damien Knight

Her soul beats true in my heart
Her eyes a fire burning my soul
I am sure of her now, determined
Unfortunate destiny kept me apart
Don’t despise me this passion I feel
I tried, did not intend to bind myself
I am certain my heart she understands
For me this isn’t fantasy it’s real
Her slender form curved, a dancing blossom
I was desperate to erase from my mind
With hope I would let her free of my poetry
The pain of empty dreamings I fought them
I must control this unbridled passion
I dare not impose, I must not anymore
I have caused her grief enough
My lady of shadows found yet I can’t be forgiven
