Missing You (2012)

By Damien Knight

How I miss good mornings
And when you text goodnight.
I thought you were Aniya
My lover my dearest light.

You are the one I loved so
The heart felt so strong.
Before you were my friend,
Is my desire wrong?

My dear bestfriend forever
It’s true what we once said.
And I always kept the greatest.
Heart just won’t reason with my head.

My Moon, Tsuki

By Damien Knight

I, the raven of despair, shan’t lament
I will not cry, I finally told you go
If you felt so strong at my dream
Then perhaps it was for you meant

Will I never know the lady of shadows
If you were she and I broke you more
I do not deserve her ever to find me
You insisted, and I will never know

Beautiful long emery hair to break me
Those emerald eyes, seas of my agony
Ruby painted lips to break my soul
My stone heart sealed I shan’t be free

Do you despise me? I shall see soon
For if your hate for my mistaken love
Grew true, if you scorn my cold heart
Tsuki, I know you will be well my moon

Judgement (2012)

By Damien Knight

Held my anger so long
I forgot you were who knew.
I try to be strong.
I always told you true.
I clung to my fear,
I shouldn’t fear you.
You were always near.
You were one of the few,
Who looked out for me.
Judgement I passed so blindly,
Expected perfection those held close.
I plead to be forgiven,
I expected much one treasured most.
I fell to other’s opinions.
You whose thoughts ate my own,
I saw you through their sins.
I should have used my eyes alone.

In Shade, Stay

By Damien Knight

You who light my path
A beacon to my steps
I merely wish to entertain
See you smile in delight.
Darling, you told me to abstain.
I am not a man that obeys.
Alas, it’s not what I write
In suffering, rage, you take away.
No, instead what I direct to you
I don’t mind, feel free, stay.
I never hated you, how could I?
Despite what it seems
I don’t know you, so I cannot despise.
What I do know is an emerald in my eyes.
Here you found not your prince
But a king of pain and shade.
I’m sorry, I plead forgiveness,
I am happy too, well even.
Know my wrath, pain and bitter verse
They are not meant for you.

Loyalty

By Damien Knight

I often hope you are
doing what’s best for you.
You were my shooting star
You who I knew so long.
My friends, they know
I trust their judgement
I had to let go.
Those who felt left behind
Ya know I never meant to.
Love makes a man lose his mind
It also makes me true.
Need me to skin someone alive
for ya I will!
If you need me at your side
to cheer on your joy I will.
I am fiercely loyal to the end.
My sword is their honour, dignity.
Beware any who would hurt my friends
For you will have to face me

Best Friends

By Damien Knight

I know you can see me.
Hope you see me in every face.
Think your being kind by giving space.
And sure I asked for it baby…
But in the end
I just want to talk to you.
Gonna be chill like your best friend
We were that once ain’t it true?
Don’t be mad darling
That you can’t do what my lover do.
After all we both know she ain’t you.
No one can take your place.
After all I promised I would stay
And I’m down for the ride until the end.
Cuz girl you always were my best friend.
