Wilted

The shaded one in sorrow lies
A wilted narcissus by shallow pond
Agony at the face one sees reflected
Outward holds pride til solid dying

See the Shade's petals droop
Despite the lush water all about
Yet insist he is in his godhood
Is but mortal inside and out

A corpse deserving nothing
Demanding the acclaim of King
Still for the trash this flower is
Don't make mistake of me

Lovely poem! My favorite part is definitely: “Yet insist he is in his godhood / Is but mortal inside and out”
