By Damien Knight
I hold myself so tight
Wound up, so desperate.
My soul is in a fight
And my heart can’t forget.
I ache to hear I love you
With that trembling timbre.
I’d die just to hold on to
The passion I give her.
Inside I feel so empty
My heart a lonely vessel.
She cannot free me.
These inner demons I wrestle.
She says “less walls, be true.”
I am, I am I cry out. Honest!
I feel so real with you!
Princess, put my heart to test!
When we meet, I’ll show
How strong I can desire.
Those peridot eyes will glow
With loves undying fire.
