By Damien Knight
I stood eager at the foot of the mountain
Looking up gear on my back
Fear in my heart, rope in hand, I climb
Hope the summit would be surmounted
I fight every rock along the path
Every boulder smashed, every cliff I scale
I will climb this just as I do every story I tell
I won’t be held back by worry
At the top a man can look below at earth
He can see his dreams, the accomplishments
Every obstacle now so small
This trial shows a man his ultimate worth
